Melbourne poker champ cashes $131,365

Luke Brabin is the latest winner of a gold bracelet at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Asia Pacific tournament. The former Kooringal High School student collected a $131,365 cash prize after topping a field of 611 players at the WSOP event on the 7th of October. Brabin managed to beat Diedier Guerin at the final table at Crown Melbourne.

Brabin stated that this latest win would boost his poker career. “This victory marks the beginning of a new phase in my poker career. The bracelet is certainly a showpiece in my new house. It’s also a piece of good fortune that comes at a good time after struggling with some private issues”, Brabin added.

Hunger for more

The World Series of Poker event at Crown Melbourne is the first one of the Asia Pacific series. Brabin has raked in over $150,000 in cashcourtesy of WSOP tournaments. However, the Australian poker fan seeks to win many more tournament, including additional WSOP titles.
