Detroit resident collects slot fortune worth $2 million

A woman was enjoying a slot machine at her favorite casino when she suddenly hit a progressive jackpot. The fortunate player took home a whopping $2,005,393 in cash courtesy of a Wheel of Fortune slot. It is the biggest windfall ever won at a Detroit-based gambling venue as the previous record stood at $1.77 million.

Scary experience

The woman, who asked not to be named, visits the Greektown Casino on a regular basis. Initially, she was under the impression that there was something wrong with the gambling machine. “I thought that there was some kind of malfunction, but then the machine showed the message that I had won the progressive jackpot. It was scary, and exciting at the same time”, the casino player from Detroit commented.

New dress, plus holiday fun

Asked how she plans on spending the money, the new millionaire without hesitation replied enjoying a few holidays. A new outfit is also among her plans for the life-changing slot jackpot. In 2004, another gambling enthusiast scooped a $1.77 million jackpot whilst spinning the reels of a Wheel of Fortune slot at the Greektown Casino. The $2 million jackpot is a new record for gambling venues in Detroit (Michigan).
